The long wait is over!

Finally, Minecraft: Wii U Edition will come to town on December 17 for $29.99.

The Wii version of this sandbox video will be released via the Wii U's Digital store according to Wired. This version includes some more popular content add-on packs.

The source added that currently, Minecraft: Wii U,  have some disc-based versions for Playstation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One. Although these games were released years ago or months, these were the 10th-best-selling retail title in the United States in September.

Meanwhile, Realty Today reported that the packs include, Natural Texture Pack, City Texture Pack, Fantasy Texture, Festive Mashup, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack and Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack. Minecraft: Wii U Edition supports four play split screen.

A Swedish video game developer, Mojang, mentioned on their website that they will add more content packs to Wii U. "We'll be adding more content packs to Wii U Edition in the near future (Wa-hoo!), and updating the core game with free updates, just like our other platforms," Mojang said.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition will have an ESRB rating of E10 and a PEGI rating of 7 for "fantasy violence," they added.

The video game developer also added that they will feature off-TV play so when other people in the house want to use the TV, the video gamer can continue playing on the Gamepad. The video game developer clarified that all DLC packs are optional.

The lead designer of Minecraft Pocket Edition at Swedish studio Mojang, Jens Bergensten, said in an interview by IGamer (via Edge),  "Microsoft has an exclusivity deal for consoles. When it runs out we'll consider Minecraft for PlayStation, but Wii U is very unlikely."

In May, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition sales have surpassed five million copies, and the franchise has shifted over 20 million copies across all platforms. On previous reports, Mojang brought $100 million in profits last year.

According to The Verge, "Minecraft" will be launching soon some new devices including the Oculus Rift and Microsoft's own Hololens.

Aside from Minecraft, iDigital Times headlined the possible Nintendo announcements on Monday. According to their article, the big announcements could be Super Smash Bros DLC, Nintendo NX News, Minecraft Wii and Pokémon Z.
