Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 will not be available on PC

A bad day for Mortal Kombat X PC players. NetherRealm Studios confirmed that Mortal Kombat XL and Kombat Pack 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles only. Because of this announcement, PC users who purchased Mortal Kombat X have voiced their disappointment in different online forums.

The first Kombat Pack, which featured Predator, Jason Voorhees and Tanya, was made available for PC, Xbox and PS4 in 2014. So now, PC gamers are puzzled why NetherRealm did not support the PC edition of the new content.

The new expansion packs will become available on March 1 in North America for PS4 and Xbox One. For European players, they will have the new expansion pack on March 4.

Mortal Kombat XL features every DLC characters and post-launch contents in the game.

On other hand, the Pack 2 characters are Xenomorph from Alien series, Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Bo Rai Cho, an old Mortal Kombat character, and Tri-Borg, a new "Kombatant" and a combination of Sektor, Cyrax and Robot Smoke. These characters were presented during last year's Games Awards.

In addition to all of the new contents, NetherRealm Studios is currently doing a closed beta to test the new features in Mortal Kombat X. Interested players can sign up here to join the beta.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that the new downloadable content might appear in a new Mortal Kombat action series. Speculations about the alleged TV series-game connection started when "Mortal Kombat Generations" director Garrett Warren responded to a question via Twitter, according to International Business Times.

Mortal Kombat X was the ninth best-selling game of last year, according to statistics. The fighting-game was launched in April 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC and has reportedly sold more than 5 million copies. In addition, more than 500,000 players own the Steam version of the game, so it's bizarre to see why the expansion pack is not available on PC.

Nevertheless, Mortal Kombat X received high score in a review from IGN.  The reviewer said it is the best game in the Mortal Kombat franchise.  "It's deeper, mechanically richer, and more fully featured than any of the nine games before it, hands down." In addition, NetherRealm Studios worked hard to add new characters in the game.
