Chinese company Lenovo has a marquee brand on their hands where smartphones are concerned: Motorola. In fact, Motorola has had a pretty decent run in the world of Android smartphones for some time now, and their latest two models to launch in India? We are looking at the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus. These two smartphones have already arrived in the US, and to see them make their respective debuts in the world’s largest democracy is definitely something. Motorola will most probably release the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus in India before the end of June, and these smartphones are said to arrive with Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. Another Motorola handset that has already picked up Android 7.1.1 Nougat would be the Moto Z Play.

According to Motorola, the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus have been specially designed in such a way, so much so that users will be able to enjoy more than decent battery life, as well as a new and improved camera, not to mention an outstanding display to boot. These two handsets are set to continue from where 2016’s Moto E3 and Moto E3 Power left off. Being made available for purchase from June 22, 2017 onward, one can also look forward to seeing the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus as part of Amazon Prime Exclusive products.

Moto E4 specifications
All that you need to know about the Moto E4 can be found here. The hardware specifications of the Moto E4 point to a 5-inch HD (High Definition) display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, arriving in a sleek looking metal design. Apart from that, you will have Qualcomm’s 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor running proceedings from underneath the hood. There will be an 8MP autofocus rear camera that is more than capable of capturing decent images, while selfie lovers will be more than pleased with the 5MP front-facing camera.

Android 7.1.1 Nougat will be the operating system version of choice, which means there is no need to wait for a software update or upgrade anytime soon. 2GB of RAM might seem to be a wee bit too little today, while 16GB of internal storage would mean having a microSD memory card a crucial addition if you love to tote around plenty of media. Good thing the 2,800mAh battery is removable, allowing you to swap batteries in an instant when the situation arises. Expect the Moto E4 to arrive in fine gold and licorice black colors with an asking price of $129.99 a pop.

Moto E4 Plus specifications
As for the Moto E4 Plus, this will be a larger sized version of the Moto E4. It is not just cosmetic changes that are made to sell yet another model variant, but the Plus suffix also denotes additional extras in the handset that will certainly offer more than just your regular mid-range smartphone experience. The processor will be the same though, with Qualcomm’s quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor handling all of the processing muscle, but you certainly won’t run out of juice anytime soon thanks to the generous 5,000mAh battery within. There is also a larger 5.5-inch HD display that will definitely impress those who would like more viewing real estate on their handsets.

At the back of the Moto E4 Plus lies a 13MP shooter, while the front carries a similar 5MP camera. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will keep the handset updated right out of the box, and you will get 2GB of RAM with a choice of either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. There will be three colors to choose from: iron grey, oxford blue, and blush gold. The 16GB model will retail for $179.99 apiece, while the 32GB model’s pricing remains unknown at the moment.
