A national memorial service will be conducted tonight for Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife, Ruth, who both passed away in a Bahamas plane crash last month, with a "home-going" service scheduled for tomorrow, Dec. 4.

The memorial service, which will be broadcasted on Mylestv.com starting tonight at 6 p.m. ET and ending at 11 p.m. ET, will be held at The Thomas A. Robinson Stadium Oaks Field Sporting Complex in Nassau, Bahamas. According to a press release from Bahamas Faith Ministries International, the organization Munroe founded, a private ceremony was held earlier today for Munroe's family members to pay their respects.

"Members of the public are invited to pay their respects...and are welcomed to sign the book of condolence," the release stated regarding today's memorial. "There will be no public viewing."

According to Debbie Lord of AL.com, thousands of people are expected to attend the service for the Munroes. It has been labeled as a National Memorial Service of Thanksgiving and Praise.

A service for Dr. Richard Pinder, who worked for Munroe's organization as senior vice president, was held on Tuesday. AL.com noted that he was killed in the crash alongside Munroe and seven other people.

The Bahamian government will treat Munroe's service as a state-recognized funeral tomorrow. This is because, according to BFMI spokesperson Kevin Harris, Munroe had exemplary contributions to the island nation.

"A State Recognized Funeral, the third level on the list of precedence of Government supported funerals, is accorded to Members of Parliament, inclusive of the Upper Chamber (the Senate), serving Permanent Secretaries and other high ranking public officials or civilians," the Bahamian government stated on its website.

The other criteria that make Munroe's funeral a state-recognized one, according to the government, include a live radio broadcast and attendance by important government officials.

Grammy Award winner and gospel singer CeCe Winans will perform at tomorrow's funeral, which will be held at the Bahamas Faith Ministries Diplomat Center on Carmichael Road in the Bahamas. It will also be open to the public.

Munroe and his wife have been recognized for their significant contribution to Christian ministry in the island nation. He was also the author of more than 100 books and an inspirational speaker.

"Myles Munroe breathed, lived and died expanding the kingdom of God," said Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. "His passion for Christ made him a true ambassador of grace and righteousness."
