Who will be on The Heat and The Cavs in the 2016 season?

The departure of LeBron James from the Miami Heat roster has left Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at a loss in the previous NBA season. In disbanding the Big Three of the Miami Heat by moving to the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James effectively disturbed the rhythm of the basketball team and pushed the front office to scramble in looking for potential substitutes for him. While Goran Drajic appeared to have stepped up in the previous NBA season, the gaping hole left by LeBron James remains a problem area for the Miami Heat.

Apart from the absence of LeBron James, the injuries plaguing the Miami Heat roster have been quite alarming as of late. Moreover, the health status of both Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh still pose questions on the capacity of the Miami Heat to bounce back from their slump last season. With these in mind, it looks like the NBA team is searching for basketball vets to fill in for the ailing members of their squad - a move that can hopefully help them figure out a way to deal with the loss of LeBron James.

According to Ira Winderman of Sun Sentinel, the latest vet to enter the Miami Heat locker room is John Lucas III. The sports analyst pointed out that the entry of Lucas to the Miami Heat training camp could see the NBA team boasting of a stronger point guard position this season. Hence, the addition of Lucas will indicate better support and backup for Goran Drajic this time around. The report further indicated that the deal between Lucas and the Miami Heat will be a non-guaranteed contract. The former Detroit Pistons point guard will be the 19th addition to the training camp roster of the Miami Heat this NBA season. As per the NBA rules, the teams are permitted to sign a maximum of 20 basketball stars in their training camp roster. However, this number is mandated to be reduced to 15 once the NBA regular season commences.

Another basketball star reportedly joining the Miami Heat training camp is Tre Kelly. Sources claim that the Washington, DC native could join Chris Andersen, Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in the Miami Heat training camp. The previous NBA season saw Kelly play for the Sigma Barcellona of the Italian second division. Prior to the interest of the Miami Heat, Kelly had been in training camp with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2010.
