The Houston Rockets have been determined to prove that the West Conference will see a different NBA team dominating the rest this season. With MVP runner-up James Harden injured in the NBA preseason match against the Orlando Magic, fans and followers of the Houston Rockets are worried over the long term damage of the injury. The anxiety over the condition of James Harden stemmed from his no show following his exit from the hardwood court, where he played a measly 13 minutes against the Orlando Magic. The Houston Rockets suffered a 123 - 119 loss against the Orlando Magic in the said NBA preseason game.

Reports disclosed that James Harden incurred his injury during a particularly aggressive fast break run against the Orlando Magic. The Houston Rockets star player suffered from a contusion on his right knee, prompting the officials of the NBA team to remove him from the floor and have his injury attended to immediately. Prior to getting off the game against the Orlando Magic, James Harden already pitched in 12 points as well as 4 assists to the Houston Rockets score. It remains to be seen if James Harden could easily recover from his injury.

In the previous NBA season, James Harden had been the frontrunner in terms of points and fouls in the basketball games. In fact, a number of fans and followers of the NBA thought that the MVP title would be handed to the Houston Rockets star and not to Golden State Warriors' player Stephen Curry. Despite his failure to take home the MVP award, James Harden has been hailed as one of the most resourceful players in the hardwood court - a fact signified by the staggering points he accumulated in the past NBA season.

"First of all, I've been trying to be efficient since I was in college," shared James Harden in an interview with Fox Sports. The Houston Rockets star added, "I think that's one of the ways you stay on the floor. One of the ways you impact the game is being efficient. The time that you're out there, you're doing something positive to help your team win. For me, I just have that mindset of being aggressive at all times, no matter what it is, and getting to the basket."

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets recently added Arsalan Kazemi in its roster. Prior to signing with the Houston Rockets, the Iranian forward had short stints with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Atlanta Hawks. Arsalan Kazemi, who is now a newly minted teammate of Dwight Howard and Ty Lawson, had been the 54th pick of the Washington Wizards during the 2013 NBA Draft.
