The latest survey conducted by Nielsen revealed "Americans aged 18-24 watched a weekly average of almost 16-and-a-half hours of traditional TV during Q2 2015. That represents a substantial year-over-year decline of 2 hours and 35 minutes per week," TVB reported.

That's why Telecommunications giant Verizon is teaming up with the National Basketball Association or NBA in letting users watch NBA games on their mobile phones. The New York Times reported that the two organizations have recently launched Go90, an app that provides daily league highlights, original series, and live games.

The application is the league's official wireless provider. It offers access to other shows like ESPN, Food Network, Comedy Central, and even the NFL Network. Verizon went the extra mile to ensure data and information in the sports industry are made available to the viewing population.

Go90 is a wireless application powered by Verizon. It aims to deliver daily league highlights, original series and even live games to mobile devices with an active subscription to the telecommunications company. Go90 means going "90 degrees" to view content usually shown on television on a mobile device, according to the Daily Dot.

Although the application is still in its early phases, it has signed a multi-year contract with the NBA, in addition to bringing fresh new content to subscribers. If you cannot watch your favorite NBA games, you can activate the app to get NBA content right away.

This m NBA app promises to modify the latest research by Nielsen, which reported dominance over "Video viewing with a 95% share, as compared with watching video on the Internet (4%) and watching video on a Smartphone (1%)," said Business Wire.

The rise of this mobile platform has made Verizon the title partner of the upcoming All-Star Slam Dunk contest and even the NBA Draft, according to the nytimes.com. This would hopefully change how things work when watching television "traditionally".

The app is so up-to-date that makes user "share highlights via text and social media", reported by The Verge in an article. The article covered how the m NBA app may not flourish in the future, but this does not mean the application would have a hard time picking up the pace, especially with the NBA backing it up.

You do not need to be a Verizon user to take full advantage of the application, since it is a "streamlined advertising-based model", according to The Daily Dot. This model would be colorful because the main market of Go90 is the youth, using colorful visuals to stimulate interest and pique their active side.
