Andrew Bogut was certainly not happy after he was traded by the Golden State Warriors to the Dallas Mavericks. However, after realizing that they are not the super team that they thought they were, it seems the Warriors are now interested in getting Bogut back.

Bogut, who spent a total of four years with the Warriors since 2012, served as a key member of the team's active roster. For the past two years, he helped the Golden State squad make back-to-back appearances in the NBA Finals.

However, during the offseason, the Warriors made an integral decision to make a change in their lineup. Following the loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the finals, the Golden State that it will retaliate the following season through a stronger roster. Because of this, they decided to trade Bogut in order to make room for free agent Kevin Durant.

Bogut, of course, was not happy leaving the team, which has been regarded as a strong title contender this year.

"I mean there's no doubt it's disappointing to leave one of the best teams - record-wise, those last two years... you leave a team like that and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity," Bogut said.

"It was bitter in a way," he added. "I wasn't mad at anybody about it. I understood it completely. I'm not stupid."

As the current season rolled by, it seems the Warriors are beginning to realize the value of their former center. Although the team is currently doing well in the start of the season, there is still something lacking from the squad that is preventing them from all out wins.

Despite having Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on the lineup, the Warriors still needs someone to boost their defense. Bogut could once again fill this role by becoming a dominant force for the Warriors under the basket.

However, in order to acquire Bogut again, the Warriors will have to rely on another trade deal with the Mavericks. One way they could do this is by offering starter Zaza Pachulia and a draft pick to the Dallas franchise.
