The Boston Celtics's roster is reportedly in need of trimming, with 16 players already provided guaranteed contracts. With this in mind, three players are in danger of getting cut or traded to other NBA teams - a move that could see the departure of a Boston Celtics star by the end of the summer. The three players speculated to be sent to the trading block are Jared Sullinger, Evan Turner and Perry Jones. However, it is Sullinger's name that keeps getting thrown around in the rumor mill.

Although  Sullinger is a notable player in his own right, the NBA star has been struggling with the Celtics as of late particularly due to injuries and other health issues. With the necessity for Boston to cut down on the number of players in its current roster - preferably before the 2015 - 2016 NBA season begins, the team could be looking into the feasibility of ridding itself of ailing NBA stars.

While this could speak of a doomed future for Sullinger, at least with regard to his Boston stint, the head coach of the NBA team, Brad Stevens, remains optimistic. "He's been working out in a couple different locations," disclosed Stevens, according to ESPN Boston. The Celtics head coach added, "But everything that I have heard, every time I've spoken with him, every time I have spoken to people around him, it sounds like he's doing great." Stevens further shared that Sullinger is "excited for a new season to show that's been his focus and to show off the work that he's put in to get there." Stevens also shared that Jared scored a lot of great moments with the Celtics, branding the NBA star as a "big important part" of the team.

Meanwhile, the potential exit of Jared Sullinger from the Celtics locker room might be the much needed welcome looked for by outraged Phoenix Suns star Markieff Morris. With the recent proclamation of Markieff Morris with regard his disappointment and frustration over the transfer of his twin brother, Marcus Morris, to the Detroit Pistons, fans and followers of the Phoenix Suns could expect nothing short of hostility from the NBA star.

The issue involving Markieff Morris now puts the Suns in a tough spot as it is a tad too late in the season to find someone who can match the power forward's skill. However, an aggravated player in the Suns will definitely not bode well for the team especially with its goal of bagging the NBA championship title. Hence, the Suns could tap Boston for a potential trade involving Sullinger and Morris.
