If the Cleveland Cavaliers want to secure their title next season, then one way they can ensure this is by trading away Kevin Love for a more reliable and effective player. Specifically, the team could explore trade options with the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr.

Ever since the offseason began, Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers has been the center of trade speculations. As noted by most sports analysts, it's pretty obvious that Love does not fit well with the playing style established by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

In fact, during the finals series, the Cavs were able to secure their first win against the Golden State Warriors when Love was on concussion protocol. Although it may sound harsh, the reality is, the Cleveland franchise is better off without Love on the roster.

With the 2016-2017 season coming up, the Cavs are surely looking for a back-to-back title. This is why the team decided to retain the core members of its organization such as James and head coach Tyronn Lue. For Love, though, he is still under contract to play for the Cavs next year. However, he might end up not finishing the year with the team if Cleveland decides to trade him mid-season, according to Centrio Times.

As displayed by the team during the finals, with or without Love, the Cavs were able to secure their first championship in years. Of course, the path to winning the title could be so much easier for the team if they replace Love with another athlete.

One trade option that the Cavs could explore is making a deal with the Lakers in exchange for Nance and Randle, Yibada reported. Through the trade, the Cavs will get two young players who can be easily molded to fit in with the pace and playing style of the team.

Also, since both Randle and Nance are still pretty young, the Cavs could benefit from them through long-term contracts if they perform well with the team.

Love, on the other hand, could be a better fit with the Lakers than with the Cavs. For one, with Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell holding down the guard positions, the Lakers' plays next season will be pretty fast-paced. Love would thrive in this environment since this is almost the same pace he was playing in the back when he was still with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
