The Chicago Bulls are gunning for a comeback that could potentially be reminiscent of the Michael Jordan era. With the free agency jackpot deals in Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and Rajon Rondo of the Sacramento Kings, the former Derrick Rose squad notably already has three alphas in the roster. Despite the powerhouse crew, the front office is said to be working on a Kristaps Porzingis trade with the New York Knicks.

It looks like the Chicago Bulls front office has no intention of allowing a repeat of the disappointing 2015-16 NBA season. With most of their players injured, the Jimmy Butler team sank to the lower ranks and even failed to make the playoffs last season. To show how serious they are at not committing the same mistakes in the future, the Chicago Bulls sent Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks with Joakim Noah following suit. Pau Gasol is also no longer with the team as he recently just signed with the San Antonio Spurs. With the core team slowly getting dissolved, are Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic next?

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are trying to appease NBA All-Star leader Carmelo Anthony before he decides to up and leave the team. With the recent entry of both Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah to the squad, fans of the franchise are getting more excited for the next NBA season. However, it appears that the New York Knicks are not yet done with the Chicago Bulls signing this offseason as a potential Kristaps Porzingis trade is reportedly in the works. In exchange for the Latvian star would be Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic.

The idea of agreeing to Kristaps Porzingis trade, a player who is known to be one of the most promising ones in the New York Knicks roster, to the Chicago Bulls might raise some eyebrows in the league. However, Phil Jackson is running out of time. While the young star could grow into an All-Star player soon, the clock is ticking for Carmelo Anthony to win an NBA championship - or at least get into the playoffs. Hence, opting to sign more experienced stars coming from a strong playoffs contender team might be a better move if the New York Knicks than keeping Kristaps Porzingis.

At the moment, no official confirmation or comment has been given by any of the parties involved in the NBA trade rumor. However, fans of the New York Knicks are conflicted on whether a Kristaps Porzingis trade for Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic to the Chicago Bulls would benefit them. As for Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo, supporters of these alphas feel that the Latvian basketball star could learn a lot from them.
