The Chicago Bulls have been eyeing ways to make a comeback this season. With the heartbreaking defeat the NBA team experienced in the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the past season, Derrick Rose and the rest of the Chicago Bulls aim to bounce back from their slump and utilize all possible means to achieve this goal. Moreover, the breakout performance of Jimmy Butler throughout the absence of an injured Derrick Rose proved to be a revelation to the team that had been in dire need of rescuing. As the NBA regular season once again nears its starting date, the Chicago Bulls appear to be searching for stars to add to their roster in an effort to finally clinch the widely coveted NBA championship title and dethrone the Golden State Warriors.

One of the most highly talked about potential trade throughout the NBA offseason is the potential transfer of Sacramento Kings star Rudy Gay to the Chicago Bulls. Although no official news has been released by either the Sacramento Kings or the Chicago Bulls, the fact that rumors are rife both online and offline indicates that there must be some truth in the supposed deal. According to speculations, this deal might see the departure of Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the Sacramento Kings star.

With the injuries incurred by Taj Gibson and his minimal minutes in the hardwood, this rumored contract would give the Chicago Bulls the much needed push get rid of players who cannot complement Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler's styles and bring in NBA stars capable of mastering the rhythm in the court. Moreover, the entry of Sacramento Kings star Rudy Gay in the Chicago Bulls locker room could provide the latter with a notably strong starting lineup. The NBA season, if the Sacramento Kings player signs with the Chicago Bulls, could expect to see Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol, Rudy Gay, Derrick Rose and Nikola Mirotic team up in an effort to bulldoze over the squads of LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls are in the process of figuring out how to best use the skills of Jimmy Butler. The previous NBA season saw the Chicago Bulls star play in both front- and back-end of the court, with Jimmy Butler practically running everywhere to ensure that the team does not fall short on either side. However, such manic playing style could only get the Chicago Bulls a respectable ranking but not a shot at the NBA title.

"You have to pick and choose your battles and save your energy for both ends of the floor now,'' shared Jimmy Butler in an interview with Chris Broussard of ESPN following the then loss of the Chicago Bulls against the Houston Rockets. He added, "I'm not going to lie, I thought it was going to be easier than it is. But to go on one end and produce and then go on the other end and have to stop the best player on the opposing team is not always an easy task.''
