The Dallas Mavericks have reportedly expressed interest in signing Glen "Big Baby" Davis. With the speculations that the NBA veteran may be close to signing with the Mavericks, sources now claim that another NBA team is also interested in signing Davis: the Los Angeles Clippers.

In what could be only be described as a repeat of the whole DeAndre Jordan spectacle, the Mavericks and the Clippers once again find themselves fighting over an NBA star who considers both NBA teams as potential new homes.

As per the source of Brad Turner from the Los Angeles Times, the Clippers are moving in on Davis quite assertively as both the NBA team president its head coach are talking things over with Big Baby. Turner disclosed the news via social media and wrote, "Clippers remain interested in Glen Davis returning. Doc Rivers spoke with Baby's reps earlier this week. No deal yet, however. Per source."

Apart from the Clippers, the Mavericks have been known to be interested in signing the eight-year veteran in the team recently abandoned abruptly by Jordan. Should Glen Davis opt to sign with the Mavericks, he will be set to play with NBA stars such as JaVale McGee, Chandler Parsons, Deron Williams and Justin Anderson.

In addition to the Mavericks, it looks like Glen is also mulling over the possibilities involving potential seasons with foreign teams in China and Europe. However, sources claim that Glen puts playing with NBA teams this season over the possibility of signing for teams overseas. The news of these offers were also confirmed by Turner who wrote on Twitter, "Big Baby also has gotten a call from the Mavericks. China and Europe are also possibilities. Source."

Throughout the NBA offseason, the Clippers have been striving to improve its front line rotation. With DeAndre back in the Clippers, fans and followers of the team could expect the almost Mavericks star to start with Blake Griffin. Providing support to both Griffin and Jordan in the Clippers team are Cole Aldrich and Josh Smith.

Meanwhile, the addition of Paul Pierce could further bolster the Clippers' roster. With these players in mind, the hold up on offering Davis a contract to re-sign is understandable. With the Mavericks involved, the Clippers might need to make up their minds and offer Davis a notable contract as the Jordan episode has yet to be erased from the memory of the latter.
