As the starting date of the NBA Season draws nearer, more and more teams are guaranteeing that the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers will no longer be the same groups facing off in the NBA Finals. With this in mind, the offseason of the NBA saw trades and acquisitions that clearly aimed to achieve one goal: build a team great enough to beat the rest and take home the NBA Finals trophy.

The Golden State Warriors barely made a ripple during the NBA offseason, making only minor tweaks and adjustments to the team's roster and potential gameplays. However, the entry of DeAndre Jordan to the Los Angeles Clippers and LaMarcus Aldridge to the San Antonio Spurs might have the Golden State Warriors a bit alarmed for the next NBA season. Despite being the current championship title holders in the NBA, the Stephen Curry-led team remain conscious of the fact that the hard-earned trophy could no longer be in the Golden State Warriors locker room next year.

"Hey, we won a championship; that's valid enough," said Draymond Green in response to the question during the CBS Sports interview with regard the betting odds for the NBA championship going against the Golden State Warriors. He went on to say, "However, as every year is, the West is going to be tough."

Draymond Green then discussed the difficulties the Golden State Warriors could expect to encounter this NBA season. He shared, "With KD [Kevin Durant] being healthy and Russ [Westbrook] being healthy the whole season, that's a contending ballclub every year with those guys healthy. The Spurs are always good. Always. You add another All-Star to the equation, and that makes them a serious contender." Based on the recent updates regarding NBA transactions, Draymond Green could be referring to the addition of LaMarcus Aldridge in the San Antonio Spurs roster.

Apart from the San Antonio Spurs, Draymond Green believes that the Los Angeles Clippers also pose danger in the Golden State Warriors' standing this NBA season. Nonetheless, he remains optimistic about their chances of repeating their NBA Finals victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers last season.

Meanwhile, the father of Golden State Warriors player Klay Thompson, former NBA star Mychal Thompson, disclosed that the Oklahoma Thunder might be letting go of Kevin Durant and the NBA champions' locker room is his next stop, according to Dan Feldman of Pro Basketball Talk. Mychal Thompson said, "I also heard it in good authority from a team that plays in the Bay Area that they're going to go hard on Kevin Durant."

This deal could come into fruition especially with the departure of David Lee. Hence, the space in the salary cap could give the Golden State Warriors the capacity to cover Kevin Durant's fees. Should this deal actually push through, then the NBA season will be welcoming the Golden State Warriors armed with a very strong offense in the form of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and hopefully, Kevin Durant.
