LaMarcus Aldridge is not happy with the San Antonio Spurs after he was pushed back to the No. 2 role to make way for Kawhi Leonard. Since he could be placed on the trading block, the Golden State Warriors might make a move to acquire him in exchange for Klay Thompson.

Aldridge, who joined the Spurs in 2015 after signing a four-year contract worth $80 million, has been a powerful force for the team. However, after spending a year with the team, it seems he's no longer happy staying in San Antonio especially since the Spurs are still favoring their veteran small forward and scorer Leonard over him.

Apparently, his current disposition is enough to shake things up within the team's management, which is reportedly considering trade options for Aldridge.

This isn't the first time that a trade request came up. In fact, according to sources, Aldridge's representatives have been asking the San Antonio organization to trade the athlete. Although nothing happened last year, this season could be different.

One possible landing spot for Aldridge is in Golden State since the team is also reportedly dealing with another unhappy player. Ever since Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Warriors in July this year, there have been rumors suggesting that Thompson may not be to ecstatic by the move.

Apparently, Thompson the shooting guard became worried that his role with the team might get reduced especially now that the Warriors have turned out to be a super team after acquiring Durant.

Since Thompson is currently in the height of his career, he could seek a trade request from the Warriors in order to find a team that will be able to appreciate his talents more.

Like pieces in a puzzle, both Thompson and Aldridge would fit well in the Spurs and Warriors respectively. Although Aldridge will still find himself in the No. 2 spot with the Warrior given the number of talented players that the team has, at least he will be in a franchise that has a strong chance of winning the championship this year.
