The surprise move of the Houston Rockets to no longer re-sign Jason Terry this offseason raised questions on the potential NBA trade decisions the James Harden team will make soon. While the Eric Gordon squad has yet to finalize the deal, it is widely anticipated that they are on the verge of completing a Nick Young trade. Will this boost the Houston Rockets' chances next NBA season?

The relationship between the Los Angeles Lakers and Nick Young has turned rocky ever since Swaggy P failed to walk the talk in the hardwood court. Reports, in fact, indicate that the D'Angelo Russell team has been looking to trade the former fiancé of rapper Iggy Azalea since last NBA season. However, there had been no takers of the deal and the Los Angeles Lakers refused to let him go at the time.

At this point, though, rumors are rife that the Nick Young trade will no longer be a relevant consideration for the Los Angeles Lakers. The former Kobe Bryant team is said to be looking into just buying out the NBA contract of Swaggy P just to get rid of him in the roster. However, it looks like things need not turn for the worse. Speculations are swirling that the Houston Rockets are mulling over a Nick Young trade this offseason.

"I would frankly be surprised if Nick Young is on the Lakers' roster at the start of the season," said Kevin Ding of the NBA trade rumors. He added, "They've been trying to trade him for a while. They're still trying to trade him. They are willing to even buy him out if necessary to move on."

The Nick Young contract with the Los Angeles Lakers still has two years left with $11 million owed to the star. The four-year deal was signed two years ago and the Kobe Bryant squad had been prepared to guarantee Swaggy P with a $21 million salary. Will the Houston Rockets be prepared to pay the remaining balance?

At the moment, a Nick Young trade remains an NBA rumor. While fans of the Los Angeles Lakers feel that Swaggy P needs to move out of the purple and gold locker room, it looks like Houston Rockets supporters might be open to giving the troubled star a fresh start. Moreover, Nick Young is anticipated to be a good fit for James Harden both in and out the hardwood court.

What do you think? Should the Houston Rockets sign Nick Young? Will the Los Angeles Lakers really be better off without Swaggy P in the roster?
