For some time now, it has been rumored that the Boston Celtics are planning on shopping around Isaiah Thomas. But recently, a tweet posted by Thomas has caused his followers to worry about a possible trade that the Celtics might be cooking up.

Thomas officially joined the Celtics in 2015 after being traded by the Phoenix Suns. Since then, he has served as the star player of the Boston franchise. Last season, he was able to achieve his record high by averaging 22.2 points per game. His three-point shooting percentage, though, dropped from .391 to .351.

Still though, the Celtics view Thomas as the point guard who will be able to lead the team to the playoffs. However, after the team came up short in making the finals series this year, there have been rumors that Boston is considering on changing its roster by letting go of some of its key players.

One of those players is Thomas. As noted by SB Nation, letting go of Thomas could be part of the restructuring in the Boston organization. After seeing the disappointing season of the team this year, general manager Danny Ainge could decide to replace Thomas with a more effective guard.

As the trade rumors about the athlete continue to rise, his fans are also starting to worry that this might happen soon. Earlier this week, Thomas tweeted the phrase "Control what you can control." This was then followed by the hashtag #StayParanoid.

According to Sportsrageous, these tweets could suggest that Thomas is well aware of his current status with the team. These could also indicate that he knows what the Celtics are going through and that restructuring through trades might actually happen before the 2016-2017 season begins.

One of his followers worsened his paranoia even more by mentioning the names of athletes who have been the center of trade rumors for the past couple of weeks such as Nerlens Noel, Kenneth Faried, DeMarcus Cousins and Blake Griffin.

Although Thomas has the right to feel paranoid because of all these rumors, the Celtics would not probably release him since he is one of the team's best players. If a trade does go down, it would probably involve getting new players who can effectively assist Thomas on the court.
