NBA Rumors: James Harden not Impressed by Warriors’ Super-team

With Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant in the lineup, the Golden State Warriors are surely starting to look like a full-on powerhouse team. But James Harden, who recently signed a contract extension with the Houston Rockets, doesn't seem too impressed with what the Warriors did with their roster.

On Saturday, Harden officially re-joined the Rockets by agreeing to a four-year deal worth $118 million. But, even though the highlight of the event was the re-signing, Harden was still asked about his thoughts on the Warriors' chances of becoming next year's champions.

Of course, now that they have Durant, the Golden State franchise has become an even bigger championship contender for next season. Hopefully, they won't repeat their recent blunder of blowing out a 3-1 lead.

For Harden, though, since the Warriors have so much talent on their roster, they might have a hard time working together as a team.

"Obviously the Warriors are a really good team," he said during the press conference according to USA Today. "But there's only one basketball. You've got to figure it out."

But aside from the press conference, Harden also took a shot at Golden State, which is currently being referred to as a super-team, in his letter addressed to Rockets fans.

"There will be challenges along the way but we will continue to fight," he wrote. "Everyone in the organization is locked in on the same goal."

"We are not a 'super-team,' but just a group of guys that want to work hard to be the very best," he added. "And our work begins immediately."

There may be a bit of bad blood between the Rockets and Warriors since the former were very interested in getting Durant before he joined the latter. Also, despite the fact that Harden and Durant are good friends, the team were not able to schedule a meeting with the former Oklahoma City Thunder small forward.

But, even though they were not able to secure Durant, and they are not a "super-team," the Rockets have showed signs that they have re-built their roster. Aside from retaining Harden, they were also able to get two talented free agents, Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson, ESPN reported.
