It seems the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly trying to trade Kevin Love to the New York Knicks in exchange for Carmelo Anthony. If this happens, then the Cavs will be able to have a super team of their own that could go up against that of the Golden State Warriors.

Since the start of the offseason, Love has been the center of trade rumors. That's because during the NBA Finals series, fans saw how Love failed to adopt the playing style set by LeBron James in the Cavs.

The team was also able to secure its first win in the finals when Love was forced to sit out the game because he was in concussion protocol. This led many fans and analysts to believe that Love really is not a good fit with the Cavs.

According to The Halk Reports, the Cavs are looking to fix this by moving Love to another team. In return, they will be able to get another veteran star who could offer better assistance to James and Kyrie Irving on the court.

Specifically, the rumored trade would involve sending Love to the Knicks in exchange for Anthony. Of course, since these two aren't equals on the court, the Cavs would most likely end up including another player or a draft pick in the trade.

With Anthony on the lineup, the Cavs will surely get a stronger and more efficient roster for the 2016-2017 NBA season. It will also give them a super team that could rival the Warriors' Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

As for Anthony, joining the Cavs could serve as his chance to finally win an NBA championship ring. Ever since he debuted in the league in 2003, Anthony has not yet won an NBA title. Although he was able to help his teams reach the finals, they always came up short when it comes to finishing the series.

As noted by Anthony's former coach Jim Boeheim at Syracuse, the athlete's chances of owning a championship ring are slim.

"He's unlikely to win an NBA title," he said in a statement. "He's never been on a team that ever had a remote chance of winning an NBA title. As a player, all you can do is try to make your team better and every team he's been on he's made them a lot better."
