A solution might be in the horizon for two NBA teams currently embroiled in a tumultuous situation with their players. With the outright announcement of Markieff Morris regarding his desire to get out of the Phoenix Suns as soon as possible and the stalemate situation confronted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in terms re-signing LeBron James' close buddy, Tristan Thompson, a potential deal between the two NBA teams could bring peace in the locker rooms once and for all.

Given that the Phoenix Suns star now refuses to even talk to the other NBA players in his team - let alone discuss the issue with the management, it looks like Markieff is making his point very clear: he wants out, according to Arizona Sports. The issue came to light with the abrupt trade agreement made by the Phoenix Suns and the Detroit Pistons which saw the departure of Marcus from the former. While both Morris twins adamantly claim that they did not take offense in the idea of getting separated, it bothered the two NBA stars that the Phoenix Suns failed to inform them of a brewing deal beforehand. In fact, the Morris brothers only found out about the trade with Detroit Pistons while on vacation with their girlfriends. Needless to say, the twins were peeved.

With this situation in mind, the Phoenix Suns is now faced with a dilemma involving an unresponsive and uncooperative NBA player and a contract that sees Markieff Morris in the same team in the next four years. Moreover, the Phoenix Suns have no other player in mind who could replace Markieff Morris in the upcoming NBA season. As sources claim that the move to trade Marcus to the Detroit Pistons was made due to the supposed entry of LaMarcus Aldridge to the Phoenix Suns - a deal that failed to materialize, with Aldridge now with the San Antonio Spurs - the NBA team of Markieff Morris now finds itself in a seemingly hopeless situation.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers are stuck in the middle of a negotiation with Tristan Thompson. With LeBron James' warning that he wants the Canadian star back in the roster in the next NBA season, the Cleveland Cavaliers are frantically seeking ways to strike a balance between the contract demands of Thompson and the team's budget.

At the moment, Tristan Thompson wants a maximum contract deal which would see him stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers for five years. With the luxury tax bill, however, the Cleveland Cavaliers are determining the feasibility of this agreement in terms of its impact to the NBA team's expenses. Apart from the budget issue, Tristan Thompson is also threatening to walk out on the team if the Cleveland Cavaliers fail to give him the max contract he wants - a situation the NBA team would not want to happen if they want to keep LeBron James in the roster.

With these conflicts in mind, the ideal move would be for the Phoenix Suns to simply acquire Thompson and for Markieff to move to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since the Cleveland Cavaliers could not move Thompson without his permission and without a guaranteed contract, the Phoenix Suns would have to provide the max deal asked by LeBron James' buddy. Meanwhile, Markieff might be the solution to the Cleveland Cavaliers dilemma of potentially losing a power forward. With the amount the Phoenix Suns will be playing for Thompson's acquisition, the Cleveland Cavaliers could even add Brendan Haywood in the mix. This should be an interesting deal for the Phoenix Suns as Thompson has the potential to be an NBA All-Star.

Apart from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Markieff could also serve as a notable addition to the Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors. According to Bleacher Report, the Phoenix Suns star " likes Houston because of James Harden" while the Toronto Raptors captured his interest because of Kyle Lowry. The reported added, "But he honestly doesn't care where he gets dealt as long as he is not wearing a Suns uniform."
