The absence of a veteran star to lead the Los Angeles Lakers is causing a problem to its young core. Despite the talent of D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle, the need for an experienced leader to replace Kobe Bryant as their mentor remains an issue. Hence, it comes as no surprise that a Chris Bosh contract is said to have been signed by the Luke Walton team this offseason.

The Miami Heat and the remaining member of the Big Three era of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have been engaged in a contract stalemate since last season. While Chris Bosh claims to be ready to go back to the hardwood court, the Hassan Whiteside squad says otherwise. With the growing frustration from the NBA All-Star player, fans feel that it is only a matter of time before he follows the footsteps of both D-Wade and King James.

Among the teams raring to sign Chris Bosh are the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. Rumors are rife that even the Chicago Bulls are eager to acquire the star to reunite him with Dwyane Wade; while the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly open to give him a minimum deal to see how he meshes with LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. However, the most aggressive team is said to be the Los Angeles Lakers.

The entry of Luke Walton to the former Kobe Bryant squad marked a new era for D'Angelo Russell and his crew. After an abysmal 2015-16 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers are anticipated to make a comeback this year. However, fans believe that they can only do this with a veteran star who has a legit title contender experience to lead the young stars. Hence, the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly aggressively pursuing a Chris Bosh contract.

"I know I've been gone for a moment, but now I'm back," said Chris Bosh of his NBA return. He added, "Everybody is always asking me, 'Am I hooping?' Yes, I'm hooping. I'm a hooper."

At this point, though, no official comment has been given by any of the parties concerned. The idea of Chris Bosh signing with the Los Angeles Lakers is still in its NBA rumor stage, with fans of the D'Angelo Russell team crossing their fingers that the Miami Heat star opts to be with them next season.

What do you think? Should the Miami Heat just release Chris Bosh? Will the Los Angeles Lakers be a good landing spot for the former teammate of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James?
