Nate Robinson, who used to play for the New Orleans Pelicans, still hasn't given up on his NBA dreams despite his long absence from the league. According to a recent interview, he is still hoping that NBA teams will give him another chance of playing.

The last time Robinson played in the NBA was in 2015 when he was still with the Pelicans. After that, he transferred to the Hapeol Tel Aviv team of the Israeli Basketball Premiere League.

Since then, Robinson has been a free agent in the NBA. However, with the offseason coming to a close, it appears his chances of becoming an NBA player again are becoming slim.

During a recent interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio, Robinson blamed the NBA teams for refusing to give him a fair shot at returning to the league. Since he is an accomplished player who was able to win three NBA Slam Dunk Contests during his career, Robinson strongly believes that he deserves a second chance the play in the league.

"I think I deserve another shot to show that I can be everything that people saw when I was in Chicago," he said according to Chat Sports.

But, since no teams have expressed genuine interest in signing him, it seems Robinson will no longer be able to return to the NBA. But, in case this happens, Robinson has a backup plan.

A couple of months ago, it was reported that Robinson was preparing to play professional football through the NFL. According to NFL.com, he previously tried out for the Seattle Seahawks. The team's coach Pete Carroll noted that there's a chance that Robinson might end up in the NFL in the future.

"He's got a lot of work to do," Carroll said. "He's getting ready for whatever comes next in hoops as well, he's trying to figure out what he's going to do, whether he's going to be in the NBA or be overseas playing or whatever. So football is an option that he wants to investigate."

"He's a great kid," the coach added. "I've known him for a long time, way back when, and always loved the kid. "I'm excited to give him a chance to see where this all fits together for him. We'll find out down the road."
