The New York Knicks are forming one of the most exciting rosters in the NBA this offseason. Joining Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis in the Big Apple are Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls - two tried and tested veterans who previously dominated the now Cleveland Cavaliers' led Eastern Conference. While the newly minted members of the New York Knicks roster are still adjusting to the changes, it looks like Phil Jackson has another surprise up his sleeve: a Chris Bosh trade with the Miami Heat.

The Goran Dragic squad has been struggling to keep their heads afloat this offseason following their back to back losses via the Kevin Durant free agency campaign, which was won by the Golden State Warriors, and the Dwyane Wade contract dispute that led him to sign with the Chicago Bulls. With nothing to show for the offseason, except for their Hassan Whiteside free agency success, the Miami Heat are now slowly sinking - a fact that fans saw start with the exit of LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Without both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, will Pat Riley finally give in to a Chris Bosh trade and simply rebuild his roster centering on Hassan Whiteside?

The answer seems to be in the negative. In the recent letter of Micky Arison to the Miami Heat fans, the NBA team owner mentioned Chris Bosh as part of the group who will carry the franchise in the season. However, it remains to be seen if Pat Riley agrees with this move especially in light of the health issues surrounding the veteran. Moreover, a Chris Bosh trade might just be more practical for the Miami Heat since both Dwyane Wade and LeBron James are no longer with the NBA team.

"What won't change is the culture of this organization. The Miami HEAT is a Championship organization," shared Arison in his letter. He added, "I fully expect this team, from Pat Riley to Head Coach Erik Spoelstra, to our veterans Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem, Goran Dragic and Josh McRoberts, to our returning young core of Hassan Whiteside, Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson, to the fresh faces joining the HEAT Family to continue our mantra of being the 'hardest working, best conditioned, most professional, unselfish, toughest, meanest, nastiest team in the NBA.'"

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have not yet commented on a potential Chris Bosh trade. At the moment, the NBA team's All-Star leader, Carmelo Anthony, is enjoying his stint in the Rio Olympics 2016. Playing Golden State Warriors stars Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, the former Denver Nuggets star is reported to be delegated as the leader of Team USA.

Apart from Carmelo Anthony and the Golden State Warriors stars, the delegates of Team USA basketball to the Rio Olympics 2016 also include LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers' teammate, Kyrie Irving. Earlier this year, King James and Stephen Curry declined the invite to participate in the event.

Jimmy Butler (Chicago Bulls), DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Paul George (Indiana Pacers), DeAndre Jordan (Los Angeles Clippers), DeMar DeRozan (Toronto Raptors) and Harrison Barnes (Dallas Mavericks) are also part of the Team USA basketball now gunning for the gold medal in the Rio Olympics 2016.
