The New York Knicks are struggling to keep up with their NBA playoffs dream this season. Despite the tireless efforts of Carmelo Anthony to keep the team from falling even further down, the Kristaps Porzingis squad appears to be incapable of outperforming the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat and Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. At the moment, the New York Knicks are at the bottom portion of the LeBron James led the division.
However, it looks like there might be a way for Carmelo Anthony to finally achieve his dream of taking part of not only the NBA playoffs but also the Finals. Interestingly, LeBron James reveals the answer.
According to the Cleveland Cavaliers star, a dream team would feature himself, Anthony, Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers. With this in mind, the All-Star lineup could potentially present the solution to end the Stephen Curry that threatens to take over the NBA in the years to come. Moreover, this lineup could become an even more explosive group that King James, Wade and Chris Bosh in the Miami Heat.
"I really hope, that, before our career is over we can all play together," shared LeBron in an earlier interview. He added, "At least one, maybe one or two seasons - me, Melo, D-Wade, CP - we can get a year in. I would actually take a pay cut to do that."
Despite the lineup being an ideal concept, LeBron knows that there could be limitations to his dream. He noted, "I don't know how realistic it could be. It would be cool if it happened, but we don't know how realistic it could be to have us four. But, I mean, if you got an opportunity to work with three of your best friends, (you take it), no matter what. It's not even about sports. It's about being around guys that you don't even have to say nothing, you automatically know. We just have that type of history. So can it happen? I don't know if it could even happen, but it would be cool."
Does this mean that Anthony can finally have his dream, too? With LeBron seemingly on board, a super team could be the greatest obstacle in the path of the Golden State Warriors in the future. Moreover, the possibility of this lineup could be realized in the New York Knicks. While some fans feel that the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat are also viable options, the basketball mecca - the Madison Square Garden - is perceived as the ideal place for all powerful forces of basketball to meet and combine.
