The New York Knicks are turning out to be one of the most dynamic teams in the NBA today. Rising from the bottom ranks in the Eastern Conference last season, the Carmelo Anthony squad is evolving into a strong team this year. Apart from the better execution of their game plays and strategies, the New York Knicks stars are also showing more maturity and determination in the hardwood court. Moreover, the team spirit in the roster is giving everyone in the team as well as the fans hope that this NBA season will be exponentially better than the previous one.

One of the most heartbreaking news to hit the Kristaps Porzingis squad is the armed robbery committed against Cleananthony Early. The small forward fell victim to a couple of robbers who shot his knee after robbing him in December, according to CNN.

The crime happened after the basketball star, and his girlfriend left a gentleman's club. Upon riding an Uber car home from the Bronx, Early's vehicle was stopped and he was ordered out. The criminals took his gold chain and other possessions, then shot him in the knee. Early was then rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared that the gunshot went through the bone - a relief to the basketball star as the wound could have ended his NBA career. To date, no suspect has been arrested for the crime.

As the New York Knicks attempt to recover from the anxiety brought about by the attack on Early, a collective sigh of relief was heard when the 24-year-old star made an appearance in practice this week. A limping Early made his way in the practice facility of the NBA team in Tarrytown on Monday. His presence prompted cheers and lifted spirits among his teammates and coaches.

"He came in, he was in good spirits," said Arron Afflalo of Early's visit during practice, according to New York Post. The New York Knicks star added, "He's, I'm sure, recovering the right way."

Apart from Afflalo, NBA All-Star Anthony also expressed his joy over Early's dropping in. The NBA vet shared that the mere presence of the small forward in the area gave everyone in the team the much-needed inspiration to work harder. He also disclosed his confidence that Early will be making a comeback soon.

"It's good to hear his voice - just his presence," said Anthony of Early. The New York Knicks leader added, "He was able to walk around a little bit, even though he's on crutches, but it's just good to see him. Good to have him back. His spirits are good. Anytime you can come in here and be around what you do, be around your peers, be around the people that care about you, that's a good spirit."
