Following the departure of Rajon Rondo, it seems the Sacramento Kings are keen on rebuilding its roster. According to new rumors, the team is actively shopping around Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufus and Ben McLemore.

During the previous weeks, the Kings were able to get Matt Barnes, Anthony Tolliver and Garrett Temple. However, it seems the Sacramento franchise is not stopping here as it is reportedly looking to conducting trade deals with other teams, ESPN reported.

The Chicago Bulls are one of the teams that have been included in the rumors about the potential trade. This rumor began after Gay reportedly told the Kings that he no longer wants to be part of the team, according to Inquisitr. League sources then noted that the Kings had already entered negotiations with the Bulls to swap Gay.

The Bulls, of course, would probably benefit from this deal since they'll get another player who they can easily pair up with former Kings point guard Rondo. However, negotiations regarding the team reportedly began to crumble immediately after Chicago was able to get Dwayne Wade.

But, after Chicago, the Kings allegedly asked the Indiana Pacers if they would like to get Gay. Insiders claimed that the Pacers agreed to the deal and offered Monta Ellis in exchanged for the small forward. The Kings, however, were not content with getting Ellis.

It is not yet clear which other franchises Sacramento approached for a trade for Gay but it is believed that the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves also expressed interest in getting him.

Based on these recent rumors and Rondo's previous revelations, it seems the Kings want to make a fresh start as they enter the 2016-2017 NBA season. According to their former point guard, the team struggled with internal issues last year due to a rift between some players and members of the coaching staff.

"There were too many distractions on and off the court," he said last month. "The organization as a whole, I don't think was together completely. I think as a team you have to want the best for the next man beside you, and that wasn't the case with the Sacramento Kings."
