Dwyane Wade coming to the Knicks?

The free agency season has begun and stars like Kevin Durant are hot commodities this time of the year. However, the NBA community unexpectedly found itself facing yet another remarkable free agent in Dwyane Wade. Earlier this year, the Miami Heat had been recognized as the surefire team to land the star. However, it looks like Pat Riley will see the second of his Big Men walk away as Dwyane Wade is said to follow the footsteps of LeBron James and leave the Florida team.

The issue of a Dwyane Wade exit came when the Miami Heat took too much time offering the star a good contract. The Pat Riley squad made it no secret that free agents Hassan Whiteside and Kevin Durant were the priorities of the NBA team. While Wade was content to take the backseat in an effort to help his basketball team, rumors are rife that the Miami Heat has pushed him far enough. Hence, Wade is now reportedly looking into the possibility of playing for other teams.

"According to sources, Wade has grown frustrated with the Heat, as they prioritized Kevin Durant and Hassan Whiteside in free agency," according to ESPN. The report further revealed, "Wade's representatives put out feelers to several teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, before the start of free agency."

At the moment, the San Antonio Spurs are starting to look very promising for Wade especially after Kevin Durant opted to sign with the Golden State Warriors. With the move of the former Oklahoma City Thunder star, the 2014-15 NBA champions are getting dubbed as the super team of the league with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant leading the group. Hence, another super team is expected to emerge and the San Antonio Spurs appear to have the best players to achieve this goal.

Will this be the end of the Miami Heat - Dwyane Wade love story? Will he finally leave the team that made him, LeBron James and Chris Bosh NBA champions?

"[L]ast offseason felt strange, when Wade had to wait in line behind Goran Dragic, even if Dragic did give up a little for Wade," noted Ethan J. Skolnick of the Miami Herald. He further pointed out, "And this offseason actually feels stranger, after both sides insisted they wouldn't repeat last summer's uncertainty and acrimony - most media and fans figured this had all quietly been figured out."

Skolnick added,"It also comes after Wade fulfilled his promises, reshaping his body, missing only seven games because of injury and surging in the postseason."

While rumors are rife regarding the pending exit of Dwyane Wade, the San Antonio Spurs are not the only NBA team reportedly aiming to sign the Miami Heat star. The list also includes the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks.
