New rumors suggest that the Chicago Bulls may be looking to trade away its point guard Derrick Rose. As noted by various sources, Chicago is reportedly willing to make this deal happen if it could help the team secure a quality point guard in the upcoming NBA draft.

This season, fans saw how the Bulls struggled with its on-court performance. Aside from not being able to make it to the playoffs, the team finished at the ninth spot of the Easter Conference.

In addition, injuries plagued the team during the 2015-2016 season and prevent many of its key players in carrying the Chicago franchise. Due to its disappointing season, it seems the Bulls is looking to build up its roster by capitalizing on this year's draft event.

According to Sportsrageous, the team is targeting to acquire a new point guard in the form of Kris Dunn from Providence College. Of course, since other teams might also be looking to sign the young athlete, the Bulls has reportedly already formulated a plan to secure Dunn.

Sources said that if the team doesn't get Dunn, it is willing to trade Rose in exchange for the player.

This may seem like a surprising move for the Bulls especially since Rose exploded during his first season with the team. However, through the years, Rose sustained various injuries which prevented him from playing and left the Chicago team without its powerful point guard.

Getting a new one, or in this case Dunn, will allow the Bulls to sort off start from scratch and build up a roster that's capable of dominating at the 2016-2017 season.

As to where Rose could end up next season, there's a strong possibility that it would be the Philadelphia 76ers. After all, this team has the biggest chance of securing the first pick in the NBA lottery. And, if the Bulls really want to secure Dunn, it could offer Rose to the 76ers once the draft order has been finalized.

But then again, since these are only based on rumors, Rose's standing with the Bulls could still change depending on what these two parties agree on.
