NBA Trade Rumors: Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers Eye LA Clippers Jamal Crawford; Dwyane Wade, Goran Dragic Re-Sign, Luol Deng Heat Status in Danger

Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat
Who will be on The Heat and The Cavs in the 2016 season?

The Miami Heat has been actively scouting for new players to add to its already star-studded roster. With the team's failure to take part in the NBA Finals last season, it is understandable for Eric Spoelstrato to aggressively pursue NBA stars capable of bringing back the championship trophy in the Miami locker room. As news surface that the Heat managed to re-sign star player Dwyane Wade, the Miami team's line up next season appears to be looking up.

Apart from the success involving Wade, the Heat also managed to snag back in the team backcourt star Goran Dragic. With the current status of its roster, the Heat roster could easily be pegged as one of the best starting lines in the Eastern Conference along with LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers.

With the trade season in full swing, one of the most talked about NBA stars is Jamal Crawford. Signed with the Los Angeles Clippers at the moment, Crawford has been consistently linked with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since both teams are looking for stronger players who can shoot off the bench, the Clippers shooting guard is one of the most notable options thus far. While no official confirmation released by the Clippers, Heat and Cavaliers has been reported in relation to Crawford's NBA future, speculations regarding his imminent transfer remain rampant.

The issue first came to light when sources revealed that Crawford's contract with the Clippers is set to expire by the conclusion of the upcoming NBA season. Given the stats of the 35-year-old shooting guard, two of the most remarkable NBA teams are now reportedly gunning for his inclusion in their roster.

The social media response of Crawford regarding his future with the Clippers also raised the speculations up a notch. Asked on whether or not he will be signing with the Los Angeles team once again, the veteran replied, "@ThatGuy_Sammie: @JCrossover sooo you gonna stay a clipper or join the cavs?"-I'm not a f/a, wish but I'm not.. Soo u gotta ask Doc...." Crawford is referring to Doc Rivers, the head coach of the Clippers, in his response.

While the speculations regarding Crawford's possible transfer to the Heat or Cavs remain rife, it looks like Rivers has other ideas about the NBA star's future. He said, via Los Angeles Times, "We like Jamal. Jamal does something that only several people do, Lou Williams, and a couple of more guys." Rivers added, "Our job is to always improve our team, but we also respect and love what Jamal has done. The rumors about that is even crazy, but it is what it is, there's nothing we can do about it."

Meanwhile, the Miami team seem to be contemplating trading off one its major players next season. According to Basketball Insiders, Luol Deng might be sent to the trading block if the Sudanese-British veteran fails to perform excellently this season. With the entrance of Justise Winslow in the Heat, Deng's standing grows even frailer as the rookie appears to have the potential to render the latter's position ineffective.

However, not all hope is lost for Deng. Should the NBA star manage to bounce back and once again exhibit his All-Star caliber this season, then the Heat will be fools to let him go. Another way for the small forward to keep his spot in the Miami team would be to ensure that his health is great and his injuries are kept at minimum. Otherwise, the Heat might be forced to dangle him as a major trading chip next season.
