The entire game saw the New England Patriots garner 281 yards in passing; while rushing recorded 80 yards. As for the defense of Tom Brady's team, the NFL group recorded 330.0 yards in passing with 134.0 yards in rushing.

The New England Patriots will also attend the match sans tight end Khyri Thornton. The departure of the NFL star was a move on the team of Tom Brady to accommodate the entry of Keshawn Martin in the roster. Martin is a former wide receiver of the Houston Texans. The team of JJ Watts opted to trade Martin for the fifth-round pick of the New England Patriots. The trade of Martin accompanied the waiver of the Houston Texans' sixth-round pick as well. Prior to playing with the Houston Texans, Martin was part of the Green Bay Packers which drafted the wide receiver as their third-round pick in 2014. The regular season with the New England Patriots will be Martin's fourth time in the NFL games.

Although the addition of Martin raised eyebrows among fans and followers of the New England Patriots, sports analysts believe that such move is "sensible" for the NFL team. "For the Patriots, acquiring Martin appears to be a matter of numbers and systemic similarities," noted Alec Nathan of Bleacher Report. Meanwhile, the match between the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots has reignited the rivalry of the two NFL teams.
