The NFL community has been excitedly waiting for the draft season when new and promising young stars will enter the league. Among the names constantly under scrutiny is Carson Wentz, who may or may not be the top pick this season. Amid the fanfare, two NFL teams are pitted against each other as both reportedly want the North Dakota star in their roster - the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Both NFL teams are in dire need of a quarterback. The Dallas Cowboys suffered a heartbreaking loss following the exit of Tony Romo mid-season. Despite the attempts of Greg Hardy and Dez Bryant to turn things around for the Jerry Jones team, the loss of their leader seemed too great for them. As for the Philadelphia Eagles, they are currently stuck with Sam Bradford, whom they kept via the franchise tag. His backup, Mark Sanchez, has moved on to the Denver Broncos and is on the verge of fulfilling his dream of becoming a starter in a Super Bowl winning team.

Can Wentz bring greatness to either of the teams? Is the North Dakota star the quarterback Tony Romo has been waiting for? Or is he a better fit in the former DeMarco Murray team where he might have a shot at displacing Bradford in the starter post?

"If you're a good football player, it doesn't matter where you played at, and I think that's especially true as a quarterback," shared Joe Flacco when asked on where Wentz should sign. The NFL legend added, "When you're a quarterback, it's all relative to a certain point. You're not throwing to a 6-foot-4 receiver that runs a 4.3 against all I-AA corners. The windows are the same. It might not be technically as fast as some of the higher-level games. But, at the end of the day, the window is just as small because everyone on the field is notched down a little bit."

In the past, Wentz has been compared to Flacco in terms of skill in the gridiron. Apart from their athleticism and leadership in the football field, the two have basically the same background and build. Moreover, both Wentz and Flacco started out in a team that has minimal chances of becoming Super Bowl contenders.

"Well, let's go with Joe Flacco," said Charley Casserly when asked to describe Wentz. The NFL sports analyst added, "Lot of similarities in college; level of competition, simplistic system, strong arm, accuracy, very productive. I see a lot of similarities. Now, what's different? I think Wentz is a better athlete. He's more mobile, more athletic. I think personality-wise, he's more of an outgoing guy, more of a presence in the room, if you will. The number of starts as a senior, Flacco had more at 15-7. I think Wentz has a little more ability coming out. Flacco [was] more experienced as a senior."

Meanwhile, Wentz has remained mum on his preferences in terms of NFL teams. The quarterback and NFL hopeful has been focused on his plays, saying that his skills in the gridiron and auditions would compensate for his lack of experience. However, his recent comments may be indicative of his preferences. According to Wentz, Flacco and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo were influential figures in his football career.

"I think the success of guys like Joe Flacco or Tony Romo and the list goes on whether it's quarterbacks or other position players. Especially a guy like Flacco coming in really right away as a rookie and winning some ballgames I think shows that that adjustment can be made by special players, for sure," shared Wentz.

What NFL team is the best option for Carson Wentz? Will he benefit more under the tutelage of Tony Romo in the Dallas Cowboys? Can Sam Bradford and the Philadelphia Eagles offer better prospects?
