The Carolina Panthers will be facing off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Week 4 of the regular NFL season with a new addition to the team. As Cam Newton, Kelvin Benjamin and the rest of the Carolina Panthers stars continue with their winning streak this season, it looks like the NFL team shows no signs of stopping as yet another ferocious and aggressive football star has been added to their roster. The Week 4 match will see the Carolina Panthers traveling to the Raymond James Stadium to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday (October 4). The NFL face off is scheduled at 1:00 pm ET.

Former Chicago Bears linebacker Jared Allen was welcomed by Kelvin Benjamin and Cam Newton in the Carolina Panthers locker room earlier this week. In exchange for the veteran NFL star, the Carolina Panthers gave the Chicago Bears a conditional draft pick. According to sources close to the matter, the Chicago Bears will pay Jared Allen $11.5 million for his contract this year. The balance of $823,000 will be shouldered by the Carolina Panthers. The statement provided by the Chicago Bears in relation to the trade of Jared Allen points to the crowded linebacker post as the main reason for their decision to send him to the Carolina Panthers locker room.

"We had some depth at the linebacker position and were able to reach an agreement with the Panthers," disclosed Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace in the official statement of the NFL team regarding the move. The Chicago Bears exec further pointed out, "Whether it is acquiring additional picks or signing players, we will continue to be aggressive in finding ways to improve. We appreciate Jared's contributions and wish him the best in Carolina."

Meanwhile, sports analysts believe that the trade involving Jared Allen is one of the most underrated moves in the NFL this season. As the newly minted Carolina Panthers football star goes on to rub elbows with the likes of Cam Newton, it will not take long before Jared Allen prove to be one of the most notable members of the team. "It is a trade that many are overlooking, but will end up being a huge acquisition throughout the remainder of the season," noted Evan Massey of Forbes. The sports analyst added, "There is always a chance that Allen will end up struggling with the Panthers, but he will immediately step into a leadership role and will be given a brand new start. Being traded from an 0-3 team to a 3-0 team is a brand new beginning, which could be exactly what Allen has been needing over the past couple of years."
