Presumably taking the time to review the gameplay and strategies they used in the past NFL games, the Dallas Cowboys came up with a plan to conquer the New York Giants on October 25 - that is, to get rid of current starting quarterback Brandon Weeden and replace him with backup veteran Matt Cassel. Fans and followers of the Dallas Cowboys believe that the move signifies the NFL team's intention of making the number of years spent by Matt Cassel playing in the professional football league.

As expected, the decision of the Dallas Cowboys to bench Brandon Weeden irritated the quarterback who admitted he was "pissed" over the change. However, Brandon Weeden admitted that he understands the stand of the Dallas Cowboys and aims to take the decision as professionally acceptable as possible. Prior to this move, Brandon Weeden had been in the same spot as he watches Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo take on NFL teams one after another. When he finally got his chance and had himself promoted following the collarbone injury of Tony Romo, it looks like Brandon Weeden failed to sufficiently impress the NFL team. Under his leadership, the Dallas Cowboys experienced crushing losses - with the defeat served by the New England Patriots serving as the last straw.

"We decided (Tuesday) to do this and spoke to both of the players," disclosed Jason Garrett. The Dallas Cowboys head coach went on to share, "There are a lot of different reasons you make a decision like this. You evaluate the quarterback and what we're asking them to do on a daily basis and weekly basis. Also at this position, you look at how the offense is performing and this position has an impact on the entire offensive unit. It certainly has an impact on how the team is performing. Sometimes it's fair and sometimes it's unfair but it's the nature of the position."

Meanwhile, Matt Cassel is thrilled over the news. Speaking about the change, the new starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys shared that he is "confident" of his ability to lead the NFL team. "I told you guys a few weeks ago, it's always been a dream of mine to play for the Cowboys, let alone to be the starter for the Cowboys," shared Matt Cassel. The new starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys further said, "I'm excited about the opportunity, and I'll work extremely hard. Hopefully, we'll go out there and get some wins."
