One of the most widely known rivalries in the NFL is that between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. Hence, the match between the two NFL teams during the second week of the regular season had been highly anticipated by both camps. To add to the energy and tension in the field, former Dallas Cowboys running back and star player DeMarco Murray will be facing ex-teammates Tony Romo and Darren McFadden for the first time since turning his back on the team and signing on with the Philadelphia Eagles during the offseason.

What was deemed as a supposedly competitive match, however, turned out to be a game filled with a series of fumbles on the side of the Philadelphia Eagles. The game between against the Dallas Cowboys saw Sam Bradford's squad lose at 20 - 10. While this final score may not be so bad compared with the losses incurred by other NFL teams, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly feel that such performance from his players had been disappointing to say the least. "It's more concerning now because it's now," shared Chip Kelly, referring to the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles actually entered the NFL regular season with Super Bowl dreams and a very healthy roster. The head coach added, "Just because we went through it before doesn't mean we'll get it straightened out."

DeMarco Murray, who was thought to be one of the best running backs in the NFL and a potentially lethal weapon for the Philadelphia Eagles, proved to be inadequate in the field. The match against the Dallas Cowboys saw DeMarco Murray bowing out to the skills of former teammates Darren McFadden, Tony Romo and Joseph Randle. In fact, DeMarco Murray finished the match against the Dallas Cowboys with a measly two yards on 13 carries to show for his efforts. Apart from DeMarco Murray, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles was also a source of embarrassment for the NFL team.

"Sam Bradford had his second straight rough game, as well," noted Douglas J Miller of the Bleacher report, referring to the game of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys. The sports analyst added, "Bradford constantly looked out of sorts behind center and tripped several times to kill a play. Bradford also threw two more interceptions this week. His interception in the red zone to Sean Lee killed any hope of a comeback for Philadelphia."

Week 3 of the NFL regular season will see the Dallas Cowboys face off against the Atlanta Falcons on September 27 (Sunday), 1:00 pm ET, at the AT&T stadium.
