The Green Bay Packers are now facing a dilemma. With the injury incurred by wide receiver Jordy Nelson during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend, the Packers find themselves at a loss - with the NFL team's potential shot to take home the Super Bowl trophy seemingly getting out of reach. This latest injury added to the string of injuries incurred by NFL stars since the beginning of the preseason has once again sparked outrage in the Packers locker room, with quarterback Aaron Rodgers leading the pack.

Even prior to Nelson incurring an injury, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been quite vocal about his stance regarding the NFL preseason games. Citing the physical and physiological concerns that arise during the NFL preseason matches, the Green Bay star feels that the number of games should be reduced. Taking cue from the injury sustained by the NFL's best wide receiver, Rodgers believes that the number of games played by the teams are too many especially with the regular season just around the corner.

"It's difficult to lose a guy like that in a meaningless game," stated Packers quarterback Rodgers after the match against the Steelers, according to CBS Sports. The NFL star then went on to share that he thinks he is not alone in believing that the NFL should cut down the number of games. While Rodgers admits that the NFL preseason games are moneymakers in their own rights, the Packers quarterback thinks that the health of the football stars should be the priority.

"A lot would have to happen," discloses Rodgers. "The fans, I think, are paying close to full-price tickets. It's not just the coaches' and the players' decision."

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers provided an update on the injury of wide receiver Jordy Nelson. "It was determined that WR Jordy Nelson sustained a significant right knee injury in yesterday's game at Pittsburgh," the team announced, according to ESPN. "He will miss the remainder of the season."

With the injury of Jordy Nelson and the upcoming matches this NFL season, the Packers have been actively finding ways to replenish the loss left by the wide receiver.

In another report by CBS Sports, it was revealed that Reggie Wayne is now under consideration for Green Bay. While Wayne was first reported to have already gone through a physical with the New England Patriots, no official announcement has been made regarding his signing for the Tom Brady-led NFL team. Hence, the NFL vet remains a possible addition to the Packers roster.
