The Carolina Panthers and the Jacksonville Jaguars are entering the NFL season with notably different rosters courtesy of the teams' active participation in the offseason trades. While the Jacksonville Jaguars succumbed to a 16 - 10 loss the last time the NFL team faced off against the Carolina Panthers, it looks like the Blake Bortles team have developed a scheme to hold off the scoring capacity of their Week 1 opponents.

Hosting their first NFL match this season at the EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, the Jacksonville Jaguars will reportedly unleash their strategy to beat the Carolina Panthers. The NFL match between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers is scheduled on September 13, Sunday, at 1:00 pm ET.

In determining ways to beat the Carolina Panthers, the Jacksonville Jaguars identified their opponent's most notable weapon: Cam Newton. By having the quarterback in their roster, the Carolina Panthers become a formidable threat to its NFL rivals. Cam Newton has been known as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL due to his size and capacity to move in the field. His swift and grace, along with his resolute stance when issuing plays, make Cam Newton a fearsome foe to face in the football field. In response to this, the Jacksonville Jaguars developed a "tackling plan" to hopefully curb the performance of the Carolina Panthers quarterback.

"When you prepare for Carolina, you prepare for Cam Newton," shared Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, according to ESPN. He added, "What's unique than any other team, you have to have plans for his ability." The Jacksonville Jaguars coach went on to discuss that the "biggest thing" the NFL team took into consideration in devising the plan to stop Cam Newton is his varied capabilities across the field. He shared, "Not only do you have to have a tackling plan for the running backs, but what made the game unique was you had to have a tackling plan for him because of his size and ability to run. You surely didn't want him [Cam Newton] to extend plays or have the ball in his hands."

The Jacksonville Jaguars are entering the Week 1 of the NFL regular season brandishing a 17 - 16 victory over the Washington Redskins gained during the fourth week of the preseason games. The match against the Washington Redskins saw 16 out of 25 passes completed by Stephen Morris for 160 yards. Apart from these, Morris also managed to pitch in one touchdown - a move that pushed the Jacksonville Jaguars to the lead position. Meanwhile, Bryan Waters contributed 42 yards and a touchdown following five attempts. As for Tony Washington, the added two receptions for 45 yards; while Corey Grant managed to rake in 74 yards as well as a touchdown in five attempts.
