The Minnesota Vikings are facing difficult times ahead as the NFL team determine which among the stars in its roster would have to be let go and who to retain for the 53-man roster. At the moment, the Minnesota Vikings have 78 NFL stars in their roster following the release of 11 players over the weekend. The number of teammates of Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson are expected to dwindle once the regular NFL season begins.

In an official press release from the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL team bid goodbye to RB Joe Banyard and TE Brandon Bostick in an effort to cut down the NFL team's roster. Jalil Carter and Justin Coleman, both cornerbacks, were also let go by the Minnesota Vikings. The same fate was met by WR DaVaris Daniels, T Stephen Goodin and LB Josh Kaddu. The Minnesota Vikings also opted to release CB DeMarcus Van Dyke, DT Chrishon Rose, WR Jordan Leslie and DE Caesar Rayford.

Among the NFL stars cut off from the Minnesota Vikings, the most notable name is TE Brandon Bostick. The Minnesota Vikings opted to sign the tight end following his departure from the Green Bay Packers. Bostick's release from the Green Bay Packers had been an addled and chaotic affair as the NFL star was blamed by the fans and followers of the Peyton Manning-led team for the "botched onside kick recovery attempt" he exhibited during the NFC Championship match, according to NFL.com.

The release of Banyard from the Minnesota Vikings came as a surprise since the running back has been with the team for two NFL seasons. Banyard recorded 21 carries for 88 yards for the Minnesota Vikings in the previous year. NFL.com pointed out that the release of Banyard could signify that the Minnesota Vikings are becoming more confident in the capacity of Adrian Peterson as one of the NFL team's starters this season. The starting Minnesota Vikings running back has Jerisk McKinnon as substitute. The short-yardage hammer is then delegated to Matt Asiata.

Meanwhile, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Terry Bridgewater has been widely reported to be showing off notable skills throughout the 2015 NFL preseason. With this in mind, it appears that the Minnesota Vikings will be back on track for the Super Bowl especially if the return of Adrian Peterson would be taken into consideration. As for Terry Bridgewater, the Minnesota Vikings quarterback has managed to thoroughly impressed fans in the NFL team's match against the Dallas Cowboys during the preseason games.

"We wanted to run the ball at first, but we wanted to get out of a bad play," shared Terry Bridgewater, referring to the strategy he implemented during the 2015 NFL preseason match against the Dallas Cowboys. The Minnesota Vikings star added, "A quarterback's job is to get us into the right play. We have little plays and checks built into plays. To be able to sit back and execute it, that's what this league is about. Sometimes you're going to get some looks that aren't the best looks for that play and our job is to get the team in the right plays."
