The locker room scuffle between New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith and linebacker IK Enemkpali over a plane ticket worth US$600 cost the latter his spot in the NFL team roster. While the two have yet to officially release a statement regarding the physical altercation, the New York Jets management have made theirs: no explanation will ever hold water to this kind of behavior. The linebacker quickly found a new home in the NFL though, as the Buffalo Bills immediately snatched the former New York Jets star a day following his dismissal from the latter. Rex Ryan, the coach of the Buffalo Bills, explained that the decision to sign ex-New York Jets linebacker in their NFL team is rooted from their belief that his talent will help them get a shot at the Super Bowl. In an effort to pave the way for the former New York Jets star to make a fresh start, the Buffalo Bills coach is in the process of working out the details regarding the disciplinary actions said to be meted out against Enemkpali. Since the sucker punch delivered by the now Buffalo Bills star cost the New York Jets quarterback six to ten weeks of recovery, the latter NFL team is entitled to punish him according to their policies and guidelines.

Although this may seem disheartening to the new NFL team of the linebacker, Ryan assured that the Buffalo Bills will welcome the former New York Jets star without any judgment or question regarding the incident.

"Not at all," said Ryan, responding to the question on whether or not the former New York Jets linebacker should provide an explanation for his behavior in his previous NFL team, according to ESPN. The Buffalo Bills added, "It's something that I care nothing about. When he gets here, it's not something that I'm gonna ask him about, trying to figure out what happened, because I frankly don't care. He's a guy that's coming in here to help us win football games, and that's what he comes in here and he does. I could care less what he did in New York."

As for the New York Jets, the search is on for the NFL team to look for a new quarterback following the injury of Smith. Immediately after the news broke, fans and followers of the NFL team initially believed that the incident with the New York Jets quarterback and linebacker would open the door to a reunion with free agent Michael Vick. However, NFL reporter Conor Orr slammed the speculations and clarified that the New York Jets and the former Philadelphia Eagles star have not reached an agreement regarding the matter.

In fact, Orr pointed out that Vick is currently not in the running for the New York Jets position. One of the names thrown in the potential candidates list is former Minnesota Vikings star Tyler Thigpen. As per the social media post of Dianna Marie Russini from ESPN, however, it appears that a deal between Thigpen and the New York Jets may no longer be feasible as the scheduled Friday workout is now cancelled.
