The four-game suspension of Tom Brady, which is threatening to ruin the chances of the New England Patriots to become a contender in the Super Bowl, appears to find a duplicate in the Pittsburgh Steelers roster. Recent reports revealed that wide receiver Martavis Bryant has been given a four-game suspension following his failure to pass the drug tests administered by the NFL. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers are determined to not let the personal issues of its NFL stars get in the way of a Super Bowl trophy making its way in their locker room.

While a number of fans and followers were disappointed over the news that Pittsburgh Steelers star Martavis Bryant failed the drug tests conducted by the NFL, it appears that his teammates and coach are not yet ready to give up on the wide receiver. Still confident on the potential of Martavis Bryant and his possible contribution to the success of the Pittsburgh Steelers, head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that the NFL team stand behind the problematic athlete.

"We're in the process of working out a plan and what's appropriate for him the individual, not the player," shared Tomlin in an interview with ESPN. The Pittsburgh Steelers head coach went on to say, "I think that's an element of this we need to keep in perspective as we move forward with him." Tomlin further pointed out that issues hounding Martavis Bryant at this point in his life go beyond the realms of the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room, adding that the NFL team aim to help the troubled athlete in the best way they can. The Pittsburgh Steelers coach said, "He has issues that he's dealing with that are bigger than football. We're committed to assisting the man in that."

As for Martavis Bryant, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide received acknowledged his indiscretions. "I made a mistake," the NFL star stated. He went on to say, "I own up to my mistake. I want to move past it and get better. "I embarrassed myself. I embarrassed my family. I embarrassed my team. [I can improve] by doing the right things, learning from what I did and making sure it never occurs again."

While the Pittsburgh Steelers announced their desire to help out Martavis Bryant get pass his issues, the NFL team remain focused on one thing: winning. Hence, sports analysts pointed out that the Pittsburgh Steelers are increasingly depending on the abilities of another wide receiver, Darrius Heyward-Bey. While the former Oakland Raiders star had been in the background in the past NFL seasons, it appears that the time has come for him to make a statement in the Pittsburgh Steelers roster.

With the suspension of wide receiver Martavis Bryant, the Pittsburgh Steelers now look into Darrious Hewyard-Bey as the main man for the post. Even Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger shared, via ESPN, that the four-game absence of the starter would provide "a bigger role for Darrius Heyward-Bey."
