The New England Patriots are practically tearing apart the NFL this regular season, demolishing every football squad that comes their way and preserving their undefeated status. As the NFL season heats up, the New England Patriots appear to be looking for more measures to guarantee that their current standing remains unblemished - a feat that could undoubtedly boost the football team's reputation especially after the "Deflategate" scandal that saw Tom Brady thrown in the middle of a cheating controversy. Apart from the repercussions of the allegations to his career, which include the besmirching of the quarterback's record as one of the most notable players in the NFL, the scandal almost cost the New England Patriots this season as Tom Brady was initially set to be suspended. Needless to say, the punishment did not push through and Tom Brady is now pegged as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

"It's hard to win," shared Tom Brady, referring to the challenges faced by the New England Patriots this NFL season, according to an interview with WEEI 93.7 FM. The New England Patriots quarterback added, "It's really hard to win. It's easy to take it for granted, because we have a good record and we've played well for a period of time. But I don't think we as players ever take it for granted, because I've been around long enough to realize how hard it is to get the ball in the end zone, to put together drives. It's no easy task. You've got to keep working at it."

Meanwhile, the New England Patriots earlier revealed that a new cornerback might enter the NFL team soon. Jason McCourty of the Tennessee Titans had been reportedly eyed as a potential addition to the undefeated football squad. Incidentally, the supposed entry of the cornerback in the New England Patriots would have been an interesting move as his twin brother, Devin McCourty, is one of the key players in the NFL team.

While the deal to trade Jason McCourty would have worked well with the Tennessee Titans CB, the NFL star carries with him a significant issue: salary cap hit. According to sources, Jason McCourty is set to receive $8.6 million this year another $8.8 million in 2016. With these figures in mind, the New England Patriots would be forced to get rid of its other football stars to make way for the CB. Although the trade deadline has passed and the cornerback remains with the Tennessee Titans, many believe that the New England Patriots could still make a move throughout the NFL season.
