The Philadelphia Eagles took home their first win in the Week 3 game against the New York Jets on Sunday (September 27). While the Philadelphia Eagles managed to serve a devastating loss of 24 - 17 to the New York Jets, fans and followers of head coach Chip Kelly's NFL team are still disappointed over their performance. Moreover, critics of the Philadelphia Eagles are pointing out that the NFL team only managed to succeed in the match against the New York Jets due to the series of injuries incurred by the latter. For instance, the loss of New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith and the subsequent move of the New York Jets to opt for Ryan Fitzpatrick during the game against the Philadelphia Eagles indicated a gaping hole in the home team last Sunday.

One of the major disappointments of the fans and followers of the Philadelphia Eagles this NFL season involves the performance of former Dallas Cowboys star DeMarco Murray. It could be recalled that Chip Kelly convinced the Philadelphia Eagles management to invest heavily on DeMarco Murray as the NFL star was then perceived as a lethal weapon for the team. The entry of the former Dallas Cowboys star to the Philadelphia Eagles locker room then marked the departure of LeSean McCoy. Prior to the regular NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles have expressed high regard over DeMarco Murray's move to join the NFL team and went as far as boasting that he would be the secret weapon. Up until the last match against the New York Jets, however, DeMarco Murray has yet to prove his ability to meet the expectations. However, this might not happen anytime soon as the former Dallas Cowboys is reportedly injured badly and might be out for the entire NFL season. DeMarco Murray is said to be suffering from a hamstring injury - a news that was later on confirmed by his absence during the match of the Philadelphia Eagles against the New York Jets.

Meanwhile, the performance of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford had been widely criticized as of late. "Nobody was asking Kelly about the offseason departures of his starting guards and his perceived neglect of an offensive line that kept Sam Bradford protected against all those big Jets bodies up front," noted Ian O'Connor of ESPN. The sports analyst added, "Nobody was even asking the winning coach much about Bradford, the quarterback with Joe Namath knees who looked so dreadful in Weeks 1 and 2. Bradford didn't accomplish much at all, and yet somehow, some way, Kelly left the building with a 1-2 record, which is almost as good as a 3-0 in the oil spill that is the NFC East."

The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Washington Redskins on October 4, 1:00 pm ET, at FedExField for Week 4 of the NFL regular season.
