After the 2016 NFL season kicked off, Reggie Bush started seeing his role with the Buffalo Bills diminish. If this continues, the team could eventually trade him away or just release him from the roster.

Bush signed with the Bills in August earlier this year to add depth to the team's running back bench. He also served as the replacement of Karlos Williams after he was released.

However, ever since the regular season started, Bush has found himself spending more time on the bench than on the field. During the Bills first game against the Baltimore Ravens, Bush only had three carries.

Then, on Week 2 when Buffalo faced off against the New York Jets, he only played two snaps. When Week 3 rolled in, Bush did not see any action at all. Interestingly, the Bills' game against the Arizona Cardinals last week served as the team's first win in the season.

For the upcoming games, it seems Bush will most likely not see sufficient playing time either especially since Marcell Dareus and Seantrel Henderson are now back from their suspensions. In addition, the Bills have been favoring Mike Gillislee and Jonathan Williams over Bush.

As noted by head coach Rex Ryan, Bush's limited role doesn't mean that the team doesn't value his talent.

"He's such a talent, but we want him to be almost like that Ferrari that we unleash and let people be like, "Oh man, he's out there!'" the coach said. "But I also don't want to run him into the ground."

"I think each week is different," he added. "I think that's something he could have a big role, could have a small role, could have some kind of role for us. And that's something about having a guy with his skill set that you can do different things with him."

However, since the Bills are paying Bush $1 million for a year, keeping him unused doesn't seem like a good move for the team. If this continues, Buffalo could look to trade him for another running back who the team will be able to use more frequently. Aside from this, there's also a chance that the team might just completely waive him.
