The Dallas Cowboys are in danger of wasting another season due to a Tony Romo injury. The veteran quarterback is once again down with health issues and the only possible leader left is Dak Prescott. Knowing that a rookie cannot lead America's favorite football team, Jerry Jones is said to have decided to sign a Michael Vick contract this NFL season.

The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is gearing for his NFL return this season. As the regular games are about to start, it initially seemed that a Michael Vick contract has no place in the league. However, it seems that the heartbreaking injury of Tony Romo might just send the 36-year-old veteran to the Dallas Cowboys roster.

"When Tony didn't practice during training camp, Dak got a lot of time with the starters," shared Cole Beasley of the rookie. The Dallas Cowboys receiver added, "He did a lot of the two-minute drills and showed us he could handle it. You can read a person's demeanor, and he commands the huddle. It's the way he calls the plays and the confidence he shows. It's like he belongs."

Despite the positive feedback from his teammates, rumors are rife that Jerry Jones has no intention of letting Dak Prescott take over from Tony Romo. With the older quarterback in danger of not returning to the gridiron in time for the regular season, it looks like the Dallas Cowboys are pushed to splurge on a lucrative Michael Vick contract. Apart from the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, other stars linked to the Dez Bryant squad include Tim Tebow and Johnny Manziel.

"That would be great," shared Michael Vick on the possibility of becoming part of the Dallas Cowboys lineup. He added, "Every kid growing up wants to put that star on their helmet. You see them on Thanksgiving, on Monday night games year in and year out. It has become an annual thing. It's a beautiful uniform and it looks good."

At this point, though, it appears that the Dallas Cowboys are still hoping for a Tony Romo injury miracle. At the same time, it looks like the Dez Bryant team is leaning on trying out Dak Prescott to lead the team in the regular season. While no official comment has been given by any of the parties concerned, fans of the Jerry Jones team hope that a Michael Vick contract could be executed soon.

What do you think? Should the Dallas Cowboys just go ahead and sign Michael Vick? Will the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback be a solid backup for Tony Romo as opposed to Dak Prescott?
