The Denver Broncos are overflowing with promising quarterbacks. However, it looks like neither Mark Sanchez nor Trevor Siemian managed to come up with a convincing performance to land the starting job. With Paxton Lynch still fumbling to fit in the NFL, the Super Bowl team is said to have opted to sign a Michael Vick max contract in the midst of the preseason games.

The failure of veteran quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian to resemble the leadership and skills of either Brock Osweiler or Peyton Manning in the gridiron. Although Paxton Lynch is expected to start some games in the future, the Denver Broncos are still in dire need to sign a quarterback who can lead the team to secure a back-to-back Super Bowl win. Hence, it comes as no surprise that a Michael Vick deal might be in the works.

"What was a murky quarterback competition is now muddy and messy," noted Nick Groke of the Denver Post. He further noted, "With Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler gone, their replacements have played pedestrian football through training camp and two preseason games. A battle to the top of the depth chart has turned into a race to see who messes up the least."

The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been quite open with his desire to go back to the NFL. While Michael Vick remains a free agent this preseason, the veteran shares that he intends to sign with a contender team only and not with other football squads. This limits his choices teams such as the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. Since the likes of Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton seems to be in control of their team, it appears that only one football squad is in dire need of the services of Michael Vick: the Denver Broncos.

"I'm going to continue to stay optimistic about my 2016 season and try to enjoy it," shared Michael Vick of his plans of an NFL return. He added, "I wouldn't say that I would go to any of the 32 teams. At this point in my career I would love to play for a contender. If anything, you've just got to be willing to make a contribution. In the NFL, that's what it's all about."

At the moment, the Denver Broncos have yet to officially comment on the NFL rumor. While a Michael Vick contract may seem appealing to some fans of the Super Bowl team, others feel that the personality of the veteran quarterback might disrupt the Paxton Lynch group. However, the talent of the 36-year-old is undeniable. At this point, it remains to be seen if either Mark Sanchez or Trevor Siemian could disprove the belief that another veteran should be added to the Denver Broncos.
