During the Denver Broncos' recent game against the San Diego Chargers, running back Devontae Booker was taken out of the field due to a shoulder injury. With the Broncos suddenly finding themselves of a replacement running back, they could consider trade options with the Dallas Cowboys for Darren McFadden.

Booker played last Sunday as a replacement for C.J. Anderson, who was placed on injured reserve last week after suffering a season-ending knee injury. However, during the first quarter of the match, Booker suffered a shoulder injury.

According to Patrick Smyth, the VP of public relations for the Broncos, Booker's return in the near future is questionable for now. This means, he will most likely miss out on the Week 9 game against the New Orleans Saints. It is not yet clear if he will be able to return after the Broncos' bye week.

With Anderson and Booker out, the Broncos were forced to turn to their backup RBs for the upcoming games, such as Juwan Thompson who was recently brought in from the team's quarterbacks.

However, as of the moment, the Denver squad only has three active running backs. These include Thompson, Kapri Bibbs and Andy Janovich. Aside from the lack of backup players, the Broncos are also dealing with insufficient experience since these three only have 80 career carries combined.

Given their current situation, the Broncos will most likely turn to the trading block to find a suitable replacement for Booker and Anderson. Luckily for the team, it was recently rumored that the Cowboys are willing to part ways with McFadden for the right price.

The problem here, though, is that if the Broncos pursue McFadden, they'll have another player who is prone to getting injured in the future. Right now, he is on the Cowboys' non-football injury list. If he doesn't make it to the active list soon, he could be facing an early end to his season.

As for McFadden, he admitted that he is aware of the trade rumors. Although they are only rumors, he noted that he's ready to accept whatever happens.

"It's something I don't really pay attention to," he said. "Right now, whatever happens man, I'm going to be ready regardless. Whatever they decide to bring me up and play me here, or if I get traded or whatever, I'm going to be ready to play."
