The unfortunate injury that DeMarcus Ware suffered during the Denver Broncos' Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts could force the team to add a new linebacker to its active roster. This could be someone from the Broncos' practice squad such as Reshard Cliett.

Ware injured his right forearm during last Sunday's game when the Broncos defeated the Colts by a score of 34-20. The incident happened during the third quarter when Ware collided with Von Miller.

Following the game, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that Ware has fractured his right forearm and will undergo surgery later this week. He is expected to miss four to five weeks due to his condition.

With the outside linebacker missing from the active roster, the team would most likely bring in a new player who can temporarily take his place. Since Ware is expected to return and make a full recovery after about a month or two, the team will probably not resort to trading for someone or getting a new player from the free agency market.

Instead, it will look through its own squad first to see who can be moved up to the active roster. One player that comes to mind is Cliett.

Cliett entered the NFL in 2015 after he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the 6th round of the draft picks. However, he didn't see any action last season after he suffered a knee injury and was placed on the team's injured reserve on September last year.

Earlier this month, the Texans released Cliett. A few days later, he was signed by the Broncos to their practice squad.

With Ware officially out for a couple of weeks, the Broncos could temporarily fill his spot by moving Cliett to the active roster. That way will team will still have another outside linebacker without adding someone from a free agency or trading away one of their players.

However, Cliett also has his history of injuries. So depending on Ware's recovery, the Broncos may want to look for a more stable athlete if they want someone who can permanently replace him on the roster.
