Ever since the regular season started, Jared Goff, the Los Angeles Rams' No. 1 overall pick, has been labeled as a draft bust for failing to secure the team's starting quarterback position. But, as noted by the athlete, his skills have been steadily improving, which means there's a chance that he might be moved up to the No. 1 spot this season.

When the 2016 NFL season kicked off, Goff found himself sitting on the bench during games. That's because through internal competitions, the Los Angeles coaching staff determined that Case Keenum is more suitable to the role of starting quarterback than Goff.

The move to not use Goff as a starting quarterback came as a surprise to football fans especially since he was the top pick in this year's draft. Those who came after him, such as rookie Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott, have already played on the field with their respective teams the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

Goff, however, still remains sitting on the bench.

But, it seems the upcoming weeks are about to change for the Los Angeles franchise since according to Goff, he has been improving steadily. He also doesn't feel bad after seeing his draft batch mates take on starting roles before he got the chance to do so.

"Every situation is different," he said. "All these guys that are doing well right now I'm very happy for. Most of them I'm good friends with, and they've done a really good job. I'm happy for them."

"I've felt good every day," he added. "I think I've progressed ever since I got here, and I don't think I've ever really plateaued or gone backwards. I think I've gotten better every time, every week, every day. So I feel good."

If Goff continues to show improvement, then it wouldn't come as a surprise if the Eagles debut him as a starting quarterback in their upcoming games. Right now, the Eagles have three wins and two losses. Given this current record, the team might look to experimenting between using Keenum and Goff interchangeably during games to see who will be better for the team.
