NFL Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles Carson Wentz Vs Tim Tebow as Backup After Sam Bradford Feud Ends

NFL: 2016 NFL Draft
Apr 28, 2016; Chicago, IL, USA; Carson Wentz (North Dakota State) with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell after being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles as the number one overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft at Auditorium Theatre.  Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles just solved their quarterback drama with the end of the rumored feud between Carson Wentz and Sam Bradford. With the more experienced NFL star finally ending his holdout against the Darren Sproles squad, training him and the rookie has moved into the top of the list for the team. With strengthening the roster as their number one goal this NFL offseason, Tim Tebow is reportedly next in line for the quarterback position.

Does this mean that Carson Wentz will move down to the third quarterback post? Will the Philadelphia Eagles place the higher value to the experiences of Tim Tebow as the quarterback of the Denver Broncos before Peyton Manning took over? Or will they give Wentz more hands on training by putting him as the second quarterback behind Sam Bradford?

"We had three practices with him last week, it's really hard to gauge where he's at," shared Malcolm Jenkins of Wentz. The Philadelphia Eagles safety added, "I know he's a confident thrower. He's kind of a gunslinger, he'll try to stretch the field. He's not taking many check downs right now. But he's working with the third group so he's got the third wide receivers and the separation is not really there. So he doesn't have the chance to really air things out. We're just trying to watch and see where his decision making develops over the next couple of weeks."

Another Philadelphia Eagles star, Zach Ertz, echoed the sentiments of Jenkins. The tight end also described Wentz as a "gun-slinger," noting that the rookie has a "live arm." Ertz went on to share that the youngest Philadelphia Eagles quarterback showed a "good spiral" which is easy to catch. Moreover, the tight end raved about how "unbelievable" it would be once Wentz matures and becomes the leader of the NFL team.

Meanwhile, Tim Tebow has yet to express any desire to go back to football anytime soon. Apart from his charity events and causes, the Christian star - who was earlier linked with the likes of Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, "Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev and "19 Kids and Counting" star Jana Duggar - is also reportedly considering a potential career in politics. Recently, Tebow released a book titled "Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life's Storms."

Given his difficult journey in the NFL, Tebow took the opportunity to share the lessons he learned in the ups and downs of his football career. Will readers find his reflections on his failure to make it to the Philadelphia Eagles roster last NFL season? Will his relationship with Chip Kelly be tackled as well? More importantly, will this book be a testament to the fact that he is more experienced and mature in handling the gridiron woes compared with Carson Wentz?
