NFL Rumors: Seattle Seahawks Give Up on Kam Chancellor; Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson Depend More on Jimmy Graham

The discussion between the Seattle Seahawks and NFL star Kam Chancellor has been slow in getting the desired results of both parties. With the 2015 NFL preseason about to conclude and the regular games ready to commence weeks after, the Seattle Seahawks need to either hasten the negotiations with Kam Chancellor or simply train another athlete to take on the strong safety post alongside Earl Thomas. Although no end seems to be near for the Seattle Seahawks and Kam Chancellor, it appears that Russell Wilson's teammate remains loyal to the NFL team and still works hard to guarantee them a good performance in the upcoming regular season.

At the moment, Kam Chancellor is taking on the role of being Dion Bailey's mentor. Although the holdout with the Seattle Seahawks might stretch until the NFL regular season, Kam Chancellor seems to see no need to allow his teammates Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson and Jimmy Graham to carry the responsibility he might need to leave behind.

"I talk to Kam often, especially after games," shared Seattle Seahawks star Dion Bailey, according to ESPN. Currently, the rumored stalemate between the Seattle Seahawks and Kam Chancellor has prompted the NFL team to place Dion Bailey among the starters. While this move could have threatened Kam Chancellor, the Seattle Seahawks safety seems to be open to the idea that his stint with the NFL team might be over soon and that Bailey could land his job.

"This game is much more than just football to Kam," shared Bailey, referring to the dedication and passion of his Seattle Seahawks mentor. He added, "He's really a person that wants to see everybody prosper. He's not letting the business aspect of the game get into his emotional side. He still loves football, wants to see everybody do well. He watches film every day, critiques me through practice. He texts me like, 'Oh, you should have did that' or 'You looked good doing that' type thing. He's so passionate about seeing other people do well. You don't find that in a guy that's had so much success. They're normally more selfish-minded, but he's the complete opposite of that."

With these qualities in mind, the idea of letting go of the Pro Bowler and Seattle Seahawks vet clearly does not appeal to the NFL team's management. In addition, Kam Chancellor's fellow teammates such as Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch have expressed their support over his stand in the negotiations with the Seattle Seahawks.

According to Fox Sports, the Seattle Seahawks are considered once again as the contenders in their division. Apart from the re-signing of Seattle Seahawks' vets Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson, the acquisition of Jimmy Graham has made the NFL team a formidable foe to anyone they will face in the regular season. With Jimmy Graham in the roster, the Seattle Seahawks now look at a stronger offense which would make it more efficient for Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch to attack the opposing NFL team.
