The Seattle Seahawks are looking for ways to bounce back to their Super Bowl glory. To start off their journey towards becoming one of the strongest contenders in the league, in which they would once again be regarded as a dangerous squad when faced by the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers or New England Patriots, a Russell Wilson backup must be signed soon. Among the potential quarterbacks in the NFL, the Kam Chancellor squad is said to be zeroing in on a Michael Vick contract this preseason.

The veteran quarterback, who once started for the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, fell from his perch on top of the NFL due to issues off the gridiron. However, his days as the lead quarterback have been marked as completely notable performances in pro football. If reports prove to be accurate, then a Michael Vick contract with the Seattle Seahawks could just be his biggest break since he left the league.

Although Michael Vick remains a free agent despite the preseason games heating up, the former Philadelphia Eagles icon voiced out his preferences in terms of which team he is willing to play for. According to the 36-year-old veteran, he has set his sights on signing only for teams considered as contenders for the Super Bowl. This limits his potential landing spots to the likes of the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings. Among the teams, though, it looks like the Seattle Seahawks might be the most likely football squad to sign a Michael Vick contract.

"I look for Michael Vick to be in the mix," shared Phil Savage when asked of the possibility of a Michael Vick contract with the Seattle Seahawks. The ESPN analyst added, "To me, he would reallyfit this team in terms of the mobility, what he brings to the table, and he'd be a veteran presence behind Russell Wilson."

While Russell Wilson proved his reliability by not missing a single game in his first seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, the NFL team is still in dire need of a backup in case this lucky strike ends. The only available quarterback to potentially take the place of the star is Trevone Boykin. With their dreams of gunning for the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks could not afford to send an undrafted rookie to the gridiron.

The need for a Russell Wilson backup became even more pressing with the legal issues of Tavaris Jackson. With the second stringer all tangled up with a criminal case involving aggravated assaulted with a deadly weapon. Hence, this would make Tavaris Jackson an unreliable backup for Russell Wilson. Is this the best time to pursue a Michael Vick contract?
